The Next Disney Animation…

So after what seems like forever, Disney have announced their next Disney princess. I don’t know how they’re even going to get close to the popularity of Elsa and Anna, however I’m sure that Moana will be quite the contender.

So far the plot is as follows; A young woman, named Moana uses her brilliant navigational skills to set sail for an island. Joining her on the adventure is her hero, the legendary ‘demi-god’ Maui; voiced by none other than Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson.

I am slightly disappointed that the teaser trailer seems to focus more on ‘Maui’ than ‘Moana’ whom is the actual title of the feature. Maybe he is meant to be portrayed as a larger than life character who likes attention, or perhaps Disney are trying to withhold ‘Moana’s character until the feature’s release. Either way, the teaser trailer gives us a glimpse of the gorgeous scenery and colourful characters from the feature, introducing us to this beautiful untouched corner of the world.

This tropical paradise feature is once again likely to become a disney classic, and I personally can’t wait to see what the newest Disney princess is like. 🙂

Ramble over.

I know I can’t wait for it – as much as I love all these live action Disney features it’s been too long since their last animation 🙂

Their last animation wasn’t that long ago – we got Zootropolis, which is great and has a strong female heroine! Though it has been a hammering of live actions or mixes like Pete’s Dragon. But i’m of course excited- the stylistics remind me of Lilo & Stitch and her character looks Merida/Mulan-ish. 🙂
